A008c - Squirrel Skull Medicine Stick - Artist: Wet Foot - Description: This is a beautifully detailed dance stick made from a bear skull. The medicine sticks were used in chants to ward off the evil spirits. They were adorned with a skull of a small animal, representing the speed of travel that the evil spirit would leave the sick persons body. This authentic piece is covered in leather with strands of beads wrapped on the handle. The Squirrel skull is accented with rabbit fur, and leather fringe adorns the shaft. This piece measures 14” long. This Native American creation comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
