A013 - Saddle Tan Leather Cradleboard - Artist: Curtis Bitsui; 405-278 - Description: This is a beautiful example of craftsmanship. This leather cradleboard was used by Native Americans to carry their children around while they worked. The cradleboard has beautiful beadwork done with white, green, red, orange, yellow, and blue beads. Along with the beadwork, this cradleboard is highly decorated with a lot of fringe work. There is also a medicine bag and a dream catcher located near the bottom to keep the child safe. The loop, to which it would hang from the wall is also made out of leather and is braided. The cradleboard measures 26" long, 14" wide and has a depth of 10". This Native American creation comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
