A015 - Coyote Skull Dance Stick - Artist: Don Long; 561-34 - Description: This is a beautifully detailed dance stick made from a coyote skull. The dance sticks were used in chants to ward off the evil spirits. They were adorned with a skull of a small animal, representing the speed of travel that the evil spirit would leave the sick persons body. This authentic piece is covered in leather with strands of beads wrapped on the handle. The skull is covered with fur, and feathers adorn the entire stick, making this piece simply stunning.
