A024 - Elkhorn Peace Pipe - Artist: Eddie Hill; 429477 - Description: This is a collector's quality ceremonial peace pipe. The bowl of this pipe is made out of a "two point" elk antler. There are five rows of black and five rows of multi-colored beads. This pattern of beads repeats itself four times throughout the shaft of the pipe. At both ends of the shaft is white rabbit fur and hanging from it is Sterling Silver beads, wooden beads, orange beads, a piece of antler, and then a lock of horsehair. Also hanging from the shaft are Sterling Silver beads, pieces of antler, black beads, wooden beads and two white and brown feathers, as well as a few strands of horsehair. Located in the center are black feathers and fringe. There are six tacks pinned into the bowl and 23 tacks pinned into the pipe. This piece is meant to be hung on the wall, therefore there is a double braided piece of wax-coated hemp. This peace pipe measures 60" long, 26" wide (while hanging) and 2 ½" deep. This Native American creation comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
