A027 - Ceremonial Peace Pipe - Artist: Damien Wolf - Description: This is a very beautiful pipe. The bowl and mouthpiece of this pipe are made out of dark elk antler, and has
a wooden shaft, however it is completely bound in dark brown leather and beads. There are two rows of black beads, fourteen rows of red beads, two rows of black beads, and fourteen rows of light blue beads. This pattern continues for 7 ¼". Then there is a patch of dark brown leather, located in the center of the shaft. There are three bells at either end of the patch and there is a
dark brown, leather medicine wheel with bone beads and a bell. A medicine wheel represents the never-ending circle of life. The wheel is divided into four sections - each symbolizing the four directions. The bead pattern returns for another 4". On the shaft, near the bowl of the pipe, is a dark brown, leather medicine bag, which is tied shut with leather, a button of antler, and two gun shells. Hanging from the bottom of the medicine bag, are eleven tan leather strips, with gun shells tied to the ends. Near the medicine bag is an antler button and two brown and white
feathers. The mouthpiece of the pipe is made out of an elk antler and measures 2 ½" long. Two locks of horsehair are attached to the button of elk antler, which is near the mouthpiece of the pipe. A piece of dark brown leather is braided together and is wound around the shaft. There are nineteen tacks pinned into the bowl of this pipe. When this pipe moves, a beautiful noise is made. This ceremonial pipe measures 37 ½" long and 16 1/2" wide. This Native American creation comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
