W205 - White Arctic Fox Fur Quiver & Arrows - Artist: Tim Largo; 423-125 - Description: This beautiful Native American quiver is made of White Arctic Fox fur. The bow and arrow was the favorite weapon of most North American Indians. Arrow shafts were made from reeds, canes, or stems of almost any wood. Feathers were often attached to the shafts. These made the arrow's flight more accurate. Arrow shafts were tipped with points made from bone, antler, or stone. In many tribes, arrows were carried in a stiff case known as a quiver. Indian of the forest made short arrows, since these were less likely to get snagged on branches and bushes. Elsewhere in North America, long arrows were preferred. This quiver is made from soft leather and a magnificent White Arctic Fox pelt draped over the entire length. The quiver is covered with fringe and feathers, with a leather carrying strap attached. There are two arrows made from wood with feathers attached. The quiver alone measures 25" in length. The total quiver and arrows measure 36" in length, 28" high and 6" wide. This Native American creation comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
